Honey Bee |
Catching up.
On the afternoon of the 15th was lovely and sunny so a trip to the park, I had hoped to see my first butterfly but no joy, great to see the Honey bee visiting the crocuses in the park. Every year I look forward to them coming out as they are such a stunning colour. These ones are situated in the adjacent park at Kirk lane, I record in both as at one point they were one garden to the house on Nunroyd.

Crocus |
In the meadow between the two parks is a stream that fills the frog pond. at one point Willows grow around the edge. Underneath is are little pools of water often used by the small birds to take a bath, they can hide amongst the trees to dry out.
When walking this way I will often take a look to see what is about, today must have been bath day.
