Ilex aquifolium 'Golden Queen' (m/v) is a small evergreen tree or shrub (depending how you prune it!) with broad, spiny ovate leaves boldly margined in bright golden-yellow. Flowers small, dull white. The epithet aquifolium translates as 'Thorny-leaved'.
