Bramble Sawfly (Arge sp.)
It is one of the black Arge species, but there are a few possibles, so best leave it at genus. If you have any side-on pics of the rear end, it might help, though. (IAN)

Ian said " I can see what you mean. The key ID feature here is the antennae, which have two short basal sections, then a long 3rd section, the flagellum. That makes it an Arge, as Dolerus and others have a flagellum made up of 7 or so short segments"
