Cow Parsley

had set of to photograph the trees blossoming in and around the park, it was so windy it was providing hard to get a good photo. Still a bit hazy too.
By the time I reached the old weather pitch at the far end on Nunroyd park (|Guiseley) the sun came out and the wind dropped a little.
Along the pitch is a bank of Bramble and Raspberry flanked by a line of trees.
This is always a good spot to find some insects.

 The Hawthorn tree has been stunning this year, all across the area it has been full of flowers. The smell is lovely.

 Woolly aphids

 Woolly aphids are sucking insects that live on plant fluids and produce a filamentous waxy white covering which resembles cotton or wool. The adults are winged and move to new locations where they lay egg masses.
