On this day 6 June 2020

Had a walk back through the park and Swans were having a walk round, it was nice to spend a bit of time with them.

Had a look on the Bramble patch at the back of the Bowling Club, it's always a good spot for insects. There are lots of insects about now as well as bees. Starting to get to know what some of these insects are called and over the summer month will start recording more here at the park.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee

Common Green Shieldbug - Palomena prasina

Tree bumblebee (Bombus hypnorum)

Yellow Dung Fly - Scathophaga stercoraria

Blow Fly (Calliphoridae)
could be Muscina (Muscidae) a different species .
The Calliphoridae (commonly known as blow flies, blow-flies, carrion flies, bluebottles, greenbottles, or cluster flies) are a family of insects in the order Diptera, with 1,200 known species. The maggot larvae, often used as fishing bait, are known as gentles.

I think most of the flies below are Blow Fly (Calliphoridae)
