Walking through Kirk Lane park to Nunroyd Park it was nice and sunny, there was plenty of bird activity going on, some times it can be quiet in the afternoon, but I think the birds were making most of the Sunshine.
Nice to see the Treecreeper and could not miss the sounds of the Nuthatch which seem to be having a territory battle with a Great tit.
On the wildflower meadow Goldfinch were in the Alder trees and good numbers of Redwing on the rugby field.
The two swans are back on the pond been fed by people enjoying the sunshine. There is a photo on the Nunroyd page showing them starting on a nest.
Saw up to 4 Greenfinch fly into Kirk Lane park from the track ,so hard to get a photo of these birds.

There's such a good range of birds here isn't there, it's good to see, the photos are lovely especially the black and white ones :) x
ReplyDeleteThanks pam, I am so lucky to have these two parks on my doorstep. I also think it is a great gateway space for birds passing over so worth going often as I never know what might drop in. I need to explore the stream area more but never seem to get that far.
