On this day 19 January 2020.

Once a moth I work late on a Sunday morning, as it was crisp with blue skies a trip to the park was in order before work.

There was nothing to much about , more birds heard than seen. But I think it's just as important recognise and record the lack of birds as it is to record great numbers.

One thing that did come to light was I think there are two groups of Redwings, over on the Rugby pitch is a group of about 30/40. A very skittish group as (i think) they are feeding in the open and have to fly to cover. The field is lined with trees.

Came across another group feeding along the banking's of the stream that runs through the park, steep sides with good tree cover on either side.
You could get much closer to this group, when they were spooked by dog walkers they were using the "runway" of the stream to move about. A much bigger group I would say up to 60+

The pond was frozen over apart from the top end and the Swans were there today.
